1904 - mother back to England but father stayed in India. George went to St Cyprian's School in Eastbourne.
1917 - won a scholarship to Eton .
1921 - joined the British police in Burma.
1927 - grew dissatisfied and he resigned
1928 - journeyed to Paris.
1932-1933- worked as a teacher then became a writter and his first book was published
1934 - got a part time job in a second hand bookshop.
1934- first novel Burmese Days was published.
1935- another novel A Clergyman's Daughter was published
1936 -Orwell married Eileen.Write a book about poverty in northern England. After fight in the Spanish Civil War after forced left
1937- The Road to Wigan Pier was published.
1938 - wrote A Homage to Catalonia in Britainand published.Orwell was suffering from tuberculosis.
1939 - Coming Up For Air was published. The Second World War started
1941 -1943- worked for the BBC and became literary editor for the Tribune a left wing magazine.
1945- His great satire Animal Farm was published. And his wife died.
1949- His health was failing. George Orwell married his second wife Sonia.
1950 -George Orwell died
